Creating custom cabinets for Chicago North Shore kitchen remodels has been the hallmark for Benvenuti and Stein since 1980. The ability to handcraft cabinetry in-house gives our designers the flexibility to design a space for each individual client. Our superior craftmanship is reflected in each project.

We invite clients to choose their wood, door style and custom color or stain. Prior to finishing, our cabinet shop assembles the  cabinets with appliances fitted and “staged” in our Evanston cabinet shop. This special offering allows the homeowner to view their project before it is installed.

After our clients approve the project, the cabinets are finished and installed by our master carpenters.

Evanston Kitchen Seamlessly Connects to Living Space

We “staged” the kitchen cabinet layout in our Evanston cabinet shop before we completed the finish work as seen below. Notice the custom media wall with built-in bookshelves was included in the staging.  The style and finish complements the kitchen cabinetry.

Benvenuti and Stein custom cabinets can be designed to meet each client’s needs.

Our client chose a mix of light and dark stained woods with a transitional style cabinet design. We custom paneled a large built in wine refrigerator which flanks the home bar for a great home entertaining feature. The result is a beautiful, highly functional kitchen. Our Northfield client desired a layout to accommodate more than 1 chef.  Our custom cabinetry enabled appliance placement and storage geared to his particular working style.

We included multiple storage features in the kitchen island to increase the ease of this highly functional kitchen.

Our cabinet shop crafted a handy knife drawer.

We accommodated our client’s working style by including a spice and prep bowl drawer.

Another feature we incorporated into the hardworking kitchen island was the paper towel holder which is tucked into the corner.
