This Winnetka home renovation involved a 1920’s traditional brick home which was updated and upgraded to fit today’s lifestyle while staying within the existing footprint.
In order to give the home a spacious and airy feel, the kitchen was opened to the adjoining rooms; hallway, dining room and living room.
The new kitchen featuring white custom cabinetry, has a large island with seating at one end and a concealable TV at the other end. The backside of the TV niche is a display cabinet with LED lights and wire mesh panels. The range hood features a convenient remote controlled spice rack that is hidden when not in use. The new white kitchen pantry, with it’s non-intrusive lateral sliding door, has multiple shelves with bead board backing and a contrasting walnut counter top.
A custom display cabinet which compliments the blue-gray built ins in the family room, has a hidden drawer at the bottom which doubles as the bottom trim.
The changes made in this Winnetka home have now given the homeowners what they wanted- a bright, airy spacious home with a well functioning kitchen.
