 Mid-century modern home remodel in Glenview

Undergoing three phases of remodeling, the design consistently flows throughout for a beautiful, harmonious aesthetic.

The first stage created a multi-functional new living space. The walls that separated the family room, den and dining space were removed to create a beautiful open floor plan.  We incorporated an office niche with custom wall panels to match the surrounding space. The new vaulted ceiling creates a sense of spaciousness to the room. A wall of windows give an outdoor feel and allows natural light to stream in.

The second stage included a transformed kitchen, laundry room & guest bathroom. As a result, a fresh modern feel flows throughout the home giving it a cohesive, contemporary aesthetic. The modern kitchen has dark wood cabinetry contrasted with white quartz countertops.

The third stage shows the creativity involved in re-allocating existing space. Two bathrooms were reconfigured to make a larger master bedroom while two smaller closets were incorporated into a large master closet. Large windows and a raised ceiling adds to the spacious feeling of the master bedroom. The entry with new custom doors reinforces the mid-century modern feel of the rest of the home. The sleek curved vanity in the guest bath adds a contemporary aesthetic.

This dramatic transformation, accomplished using the existing footprint and was thoughtfully designed and carefully constructed by the Benvenuti and Stein team of designers and craftsmen.

We were happy to be honored with a 2021 Chrysalis Award for our mid-century modern home remodel in Glenview. Seventy companies from across the United States were named winners. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
