This home remodel in Wilmette encompassed an extensive transformation prior to our clients moving in. A narrow outdated kitchen was replaced with an open concept one featuring custom cabinetry painted deep blue and range hood with brass trim.
Note the walk-in pantry. Custom cabinetry made it possible for a built-in microwave to be placed in the wall as you enter it. Small appliances, books and serving pieces are conveniently stored in one area as well. The benefit is a well organized kitchen.
We incorporated a matching paneled wine cooler to accompany the beverage bar. It is conveniently located between the kitchen and dining space allowing for easy access when entertaining.
Our design team created a bright new living space with the family room and sunroom. We removed the wall separating the two and enclosed the outdoor porch. The fireplace was updated with Casablanca white tiles and the walls and trim painted a crisp white. The sunroom has floor to ceiling glass doors and windows which allow maximum natural light and also provide a view to the surrounding landscape. The result, an expansive bright new living space that flows seamlessly into adjoining rooms.
The new living room has a more contemporary fireplace with beautiful built-in bookshelves and cabinets flanking the window niche.
The dual vanity with brass hardware in the master bathroom gave our clients a lovely space to start and end each day. The green glazed shower tile adds a translucent look reminiscent of water’s reflections. The glass shower doors provide an unobstructed view.
