Tips for Cabinetry Care

Benvenuti and Stein handcrafted cabinetry, built from raw lumber, is made to last for generations. Taking good care of your cabinetry is essential to maintaining its appearance. Many commercial cleaning products should be avoided.

For light cleaning, use a soft cotton cloth dampened with warm water.

For more thorough cleaning, use a solution of dishwashing liquid mixed with warm water or a mild all purpose cleaner that does not contain ammonia or silicon. Stronger products may damage or discolor your cabinet finish. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth, then dry with a soft clean cloth.

For dusting use a clean, soft, lint-free cotton cloth. Packaged or pre-moistened dusting sheets are not recommended. Do not use aerosol products made for dusting.

Do not use:

-Silicone based cleaning, waxing or polishing products

-Harsh chemicals

-Sponges or dish cloths. They may contain particles that could scratch your cabinets, or food and oil residue

-Abrasive cleaning products; tub and sink cleansers

-Solvent based or petroleum based products, bleach products
